Updates

We had such a super busy weekend that I cannot keep up. Took a ton of pictures and our life seems super crazy right now, but updates soon!

Jackson is 13 months old today! I didn't think I would keep going with monthly updates past a year, but I did want to say that he's an official walker now! He walks more than crawling now and his pirate walk is hilarious. It was so fun for everyone to see him walking at Thanksgiving.

Fab Weekend!

My best friend Katie visited from LA and we had the best weekend!

I'll try to give the full run-down later of Saturday when Leslie joined us too (although we didn't take pictures except via Katie's Blackberry so it's not quite as fun to document), but the weekend did involve,

lots of Starbucks, lots of trashy magazines, and lots of girly movies! (Although I think I'm still recovering from My Sister's Keeper...) So how could it not be fabulous?

And Donnie was a saint and watched Jackson, entertained, and gabbed with us the whole time. Can't wait until we visit her soon!

Blongo Ball

Have you ever played Blongo Ball?

We've always wanted a Bocce Ball court but don't quite have the space for one. Janet brought over Blongo Ball, which I thought looked silly, but it's a lot of fun! Kind of the same thing, throwing 2 balls tied with string and trying to get the most points.

Little Contest

I've decided I simply have to devote more time to photography. I have all these things in my head that I want to do, and I'm not going to be able to do them by putting around on the computer anymore. It's time to get down.to.business. Photography is the perfect mix of art, science, and technology that I love.

Sneaky, Sneaky

Today I took the time to make a batch of Mini Quiches, since we were running low and they're an easy thing for Jackson's lunch. This afternoon Jackson was unusually quiet. So, I peeked over the counter and saw this,

And thankfully had my camera handy to catch the little thief.



Shoving one into his little mouth as quick as he could. Apparently the cutting board isn't high enough for his tippy toes any more.




At least he already had a bib on pretty much all day since this sippy cup thing is killing us. Jackson likes to drink some and then let it dribble all down the front of his shirt. Although at least he is drinking it.

Jackson poked a perfect hole in both of his cakes. As much as he loves food, he really is the most careful kid-eater you've ever seen.


I say a few because it's all I have edited so far. It's both a blessing and a curse to edit photos. I love taking pics, but I wanted to enjoy his birthday so I don't have too many of actual people! Next time.

It was a wonderful weekend. Way too fast, but the years seem to go fast now-a-days anyways.
