Something Handmade

One of the other mommy blogs I read was offering something handmade to the first 5 people to reply to her post. I was #3!

But there was a catch! I too must join in....SO....the first FIVE people to respond to this post will get something made by ME! (or if they're aren't 5 people, maybe I'll make you 2 things!)

I get to chose what it is, and make it just for YOU.
Here is the deal:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! (although I'm hoping you do!)
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It will be done this year. (before December 31, 2009)
4- You have no clue what it's going to be, but just as a hint: I only do crafts, mostly on paper. I don't sew, knit, or really anything fancy like that.

Oh, and dont forget the catch is that you must re-post this on YOUR blog and make the same offer to the first 5 people who respond on your blog entry, thus continuing the fun!

Enter at your own risk....post a comment if you dare!

Happy 5 Months!

Lobster Feed!

Donnie and I were so excited to get to go to the St.Helena Firefighters Lobster Feed this year (last year I was preggo). It really is the best event.

The volunteer firefighters put on the event to pay for engines and station needs.

I think someone counted there were 60 pots!
Waiting for them to pour the pots,

Mitchel & Amanda

Mark & Maureen

They made around $50,000 in the live auction! I was not allowed to bid on this, haha

and last but not least, Jackson playing the next morning in his new hat!

Lazy Tuesday

Spring break time! Lucky me, it was my cousin Blair's spring break from Cal Poly too! She drove up with her dad on Tuesday to hang out with Janet and me! We got to have a fun day around Napa.

First, we went to Artessa Winery! Right behind our house. Beautiful winery and luckily they do Napa Neighbors! If you live in Napa you get a free tasting or glass of Champagne for 4. Janet did the tasting and I got the glass. Freebies are always a great start to the day.

Since it was Tuesday, there really wasn't anybody there and it was such a beautiful day.

Auntie Blair

I only wish I had taken pics of the sheep on the way there, tons of them! And, the cute little Jack-Rabbit we saw on the way out.

After, we walked to downtown Napa and got sandwiches at Mark's favorite, Sweetie Pies. Not finished yet, we got to try out cupcakes at Sift, yum!

Thankful Thursday

1. Donnie coming home every night this week.

2. Teacher Discounts. Have to use them while I can!

3. One ticket, one taste at the Mustard Festival! None of the wineries charging more than one ticket per taste just because they feel like it. With the extra 5 tickets we got for buying our admission tickets early, we each had 11 tastes!

Happy St.Patrick's Day!!

We had a great St.Patrick's Day!

After school, I took Jackson for a walk to Browns Valley and decided to surprise Donnie with corned beef and potatoes. No cabbage though, yuck! Donnie was doing the same thing and surprised me with a St.Paddy's day cake and beer. He was trying to hide what he was doing, since he bought food coloring for the beer. But check out the packaging and the color order,

Soooo, we had a great meal, complete with, RED BEER! So funny. Donnie actually is red/green coloring blind, but he could see the difference right away when he did it.

We may just have to make red beer on St.Paddy's a tradition!

He figured it out!

Too bad I cannot figure out how to rotate this video!

Pink Friday

Pink Friday was Friday the 13th! Donnie, Janet, Jackson, and I attended at my school's District Office to Rally against the budget cuts and save pink-slipped teachers. Jackson was so excited! I even bought him the closest to pink t-shirt for a boy I could find. At the rally, when I was holding him by the street with people screaming and cars honking, he just loved it. Then he pooped out and spent the rest of the rally recovering...

Thankful Thursday

1. Even though I got my dreaded pink slip this week, I'm thankful I'm at the top of the list and have hope. I'm #4 to be hired back and supposedly they haven't counted in the 5 people who're retiring this year. Definite hope there.

2. I'm thankful for happy hour at the DeBarr's. Daiquiris in the afternoon can never be a bad thing!

3. I'm soooo thankful that it looks like Jackson has gone back to only waking once a night. Hopefully this will last a while, but hopefully I don't get TOO used to it!

...ugh...

It came today....

and it wasn't pink! Why do they call it a pink slip if it isn't pink?

I'm up and down on how to feel. The good news is that I'm apparently the 4th on the list. Which means if jobs open up, I'm the 4th person to get my job back. They have 3 years that they HAVE to use the list if there are any jobs. So, that's hopeful.

On Friday, we'll be attending Pink Friday. So, Jackson will be attending his first rally! If there's one in your town, please help support the teachers who helped you get where you are!

Jackson Rolls!

Jackson has been trying to perfect his rolling skills, and today he finally did it! (Numberous times, not like before, where I think he did it on accident) Now if only I could start the video BEFORE he rolls!

***WARNING*** This video is not for those with weak stomachs, ha!

Daddy & Mini-Me

For those of you that don't know, when I'm at work during the week, Jackson gets spoiled by getting watched by Grammy Janet on Mon, Tue, Wed and Donnie on Wed, Thur, Fri. Donnie totes his little buddy all around town with him. And, I come home to my 2 matching boys!

Thankful Thursdays

I've seen this on a couple blogs and love the whole idea around it. Every Thursday Donnie and I (mostly just me) will post 3 things we're thankful for from the week before. This week I think I'll start with the biggest/most obvious ones.

1. Our Healthy Little Jackson

Recently we've had a couple friends who haven't been as lucky as us. I'm so thankful that everything went smoothly and Jackson is a happy, healthy little (ha!) guy. Yesterday Donnie took him to his 4 month appointment. Our "Little" Jackson is a whopping 18lbs 3oz!

2. Our Family

Of course. Especially Janet who watches Jackson during the week and does stuff for us around our house, even though she knows she definitely doesn't have to.

3. Our Town

Lately I've really been wanting to move to the mountains. My whole family knows. Whenever I mention that I want to move to Montana, they all laugh at me. But I'm serious! But, yesterday during a break in the rain, Donnie and I walked Jackson to Browns Valley. And I thought to myself, "This is so nice that we're able to do this." There's so much to do in our town, and looking at our calendar for the next month it's filled with things to do. Hikes, wine tasting, festivals, and plenty to keep us busy.

Jumperooooo

Jackson says, "I got a new toy...

...and I'm not sure how I feel about it."

I'm sure once he figures it out, he's going to love it!
